Pappy’s Gourmet Is New AgriMissouri™ Member

Pappy’s Gourmet is proud to announce that is has become a member of AgriMissouri™.  
AgriMissouri™ is a program which promotes Missouri products that are grown, raised or
processed within the state.

“Being a part of a program whose entire mission is to promote Missouri products is something
that we are very excited to be a part of,” explains Joe Rutz, Co-Owner, Pappy’s Gourmet.  

Pappy’s Gourmet has a selection of Gourmet Relishes and Pepper Jellies in a variety of different
flavors available.  There are plans to expand into additional specialty foods categories such as
gourmet dips, chutneys, spice rubs and salsas in the near future.  Recognizing that these items
make great gifts as well, gift baskets are available with Pappy’s Gourmet products on their
website.

Carrie Freese and Joe and Cheryl Rutz announce the launch of Pappy’s Gourmet, a new All
Natural Specialty Foods Company in Washington, MO.  

Carrie Freese, Co-Owner, Pappy’s Gourmet states “The mission of Pappy’s Gourmet is to create
a unique taste experience by using fresh, all natural ingredients in every jar that we make.  We
are so excited to be able to bring family recipes that we have been using for years to our
customers.  Our products are perfect for people that want to serve gourmet foods but don’t have
time for the preparation, you can take one of our products and simply open and enjoy!”

2012 Scovie Awards Honors Best Spicy & Savory Food Products

Washington, MO – The 2012 Scovie Awards judging panel of top culinary experts honored Pappy’
s Gourmet with a silver medal in the Condiments – Relish Category for their Hot Zucchini Relish.
Their winning product was especially applauded because of being a first time entry.
Competition was particularly fierce for the 2012 awards, with product entries up 177 over 2011. In
all, 161 companies entered 792 products for a chance at Scovie glory.

Dave DeWitt, founder of the Scovie Awards and National Fiery Foods and Barbecue Show said
entries came from 38 states and four countries including Australia, Sweden, Canada and the
United States. DeWitt, the “Pope of Peppers,” was pleased with the variety and quality of the
entries. “It’s thrilling to see more entries than ever in our sixteenth year of the Scovie Awards. I’m
always impressed by the creative new ideas and delicious ways people showcase fiery foods,”
DeWitt said.

Guests can sample and buy Scovie Award-winning products at the upcoming 2012 National Fiery
Foods & Barbecue Show (March 2-4, 2012) at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, New

foods products in the world. The awards were named after the Scoville scale, a measurement of
